Project Description
There were four events that I had registered for, but only three completed:
Cycling – Hill Climb (Gold)
Running (Cross Country) (Silver)
Running (Half Marathon) (Bronze)
The other event, Cycling Road Race, was cancelled due to a crash that occurred during our first lap (of a 50k course). The crash resulted in the fatality of a Brazilian police officer and serious injuries to two other riders, including a Virginian police officer, who remains in a coma. A very sad event and understandably cancelled by the organizers.
