ABOUT THE TPAAA & BECOMING A MEMBER

This section explains more about the Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association and how to become a new Member of the TPAAA. There is a form below please fill it out with your information to apply and one of our staff members will review your application and get back to you.

What does the TPAAA Fund

Unit activities:

Our fund helps maintain and book the gym building, upgrading and upkeep in the stations.

What we have funded:

Since 1994/95, the TPAAA has funded

• Divisional gyms by over $630,000

• 22 different sports have been funded by over $2,250,000

• we have supported our athletes with over $225,000

• we have funded site activities by over $300,000

International Competition:

• Participation in international sporting events, such as The World Police and Fire Games, and the International Law Enforcement Games

• We sent more than 100 athletes to the 2023 games in Winnipeg, Canada. The 2025 games will be held in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Toronto Police Games:

The TPAAA stages the Police Games, held annually at The Hangar at Downsview Park.

Since 1987, the Police Games has donated over $2,300,000 to the Toronto Police Widows and Orphans Fund.

Who Looks After The TPAAA:

The TPAAA is managed by an elected Board of Directors, consisting of:

• 5 Executives

• Site Representatives of Units across the city

• Chairs of the 30 funded sports

• Past Presidents of the TPAAA

How much will this cost me?

Dues are deducted every pay at the rate of only $5.25, plus HST
